Liverpool 2 Arsenal 2: Gunners come back from two down to salvage crucial point at Anfield after horror week

ARSENAL fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with already-crowned Premier League champions Liverpool at Anfield.

Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz scored twice in 87 seconds before Gabriel Martinelli and Mikel Merino struck in the second half.

Liverpool lacked intensity in the second half, which allowed Arsenal back in.

And Trent Alexander-Arnold was loudly booed by Liverpool fans after coming on in the 66th minute.

Merino was sent off after a double booking nine minutes after scoring.

Martin Odegaard almost grabbed a winner in added time, before Andy Robertson had a goal disallowed for a foul in the 97th minute.
