Arsenal are reportedly prepared to do whatever it takes to bring Newcastle star Alexander Isak to the Emirates stadium this summer, even if that would involve paying an eye-watering €150 million (£127 million) fee, according to Fichajes.
The Gunners were knocked out of the Champions League semi-finals at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain, and with the Premier League title already claimed by Liverpool, their 2024/25 season is all but over.
The focus is now on preparing for next season - it is set to be a busy summer for Arsenal with plenty of investment as Mikel Arteta and his entourage look to finally end their drought of silverware.
Arsenal Could go All Out for Isak
The Magpies are not prepared sell without a significant fee
As per the report from Fichajes, Arsenal are believed to be "working on an offer" for Isak which would eclipse their current £105 million record transfer fee paid for Declan Rice in 2023 by a great margin.
Boss Arteta sees the Swede as a "dream target", as revealed by Fabrizio Romano to GIVEMESPORT, but there have been doubts over whether the North Londoners are prepared to invest such a significant fee in one position.
But Arsenal's shortcomings in attack have become increasingly apparent throughout the course of the season. Injuries to Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus forced the attack to re-imagine itself, and a lack of proficiency in front of goal as a result was ultimately a key reason behind their failure to win trophies this season.

Isak, dubbed the "best striker in the world", has enjoyed a spectacular 2024/25 term, registering a new career-best of 27 goals across all competitions. He helped his side win the EFL Cup earlier this season, and prospects of securing Champions League qualification are still alive too.
Eddie Howe is reluctant to part ways with his star player, which is why Newcastle are adamant on their lofty price tag. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal push on with their interest to make Isak the most expensive player in Premier League history.
