Commanders Terry McLaurin Speaks Out On Charity Push

Terry McLaurin has not only been the best wide receiver on the Washington Commanders in the last few years, but he has been the poster child for doing what is right in the D.C. community as well.

McLaurin is not just a Pro Bowl player but also reguarly gives back to his community as well. It makes him beloved by Commander fans across the country.

The Ohio State product is back with another charitable push: the Full Circle Jobs Program.

McLaurin began the Full Circle Jobs Programs as a way to help homeless and at-risk youth and young adults find stable employment and a renewed sense of purpose. It offers professional clothing, haircuts, mentorship, and life skills workshops.

“No matter what you’ve been through, that’s not the end of your story,” McLaurin told WUSA9 during the program’s launch ceremony. “A lot of times, that’s just the beginning.

“I just wanted to be able to provide a space where kids can come and get haircuts and the proper clothing so they can be ready and confident for job interviews. But also have mentors and workshops that allow them to unearth what’s already been placed inside them.”

This is who McLaurin has been since he took off as one of the best rookie receivers from a talented 2019 class. He has not only become a captain for Washington, but the leading voice in the clubhouse as the Commanders become title contenders.

McLaurin's success on the field is one thing. His work in the community, though, shows how special of a person he continues to be.
