Eagles All-Pro Gives Commencement Speech

Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro wide receiver A.J. Brown has been labeled many things over the last three seasons.

Pro Bowler, Diva, Super Bowl champion, just to name a few.

There's one more name you could call the former Tennessee Titan and current star in Philly.

Commencement speaker.

Over the weekend, Brown returned to his alma mater Ole Miss to deliver the commencement speech for graduation. The powerful speech from the Eagles star had an important lesson for the recent graduates.

And yes, football was involved.

"You're stepping into a new season," Brown said. "You're holding the ball. Ole Miss gave you the playbook. Now it's your job to call the plays and lead the drive."

Brown has caught 261 passes with the Eagles for over 4,000 yards, and 25 touchdowns. He's been named to the All-Pro team twice, and has helped Philadelphia reach the Super Bowl twice in three seasons.

Not too shabby for the Ole Miss product who was taken in the second round by the Titans and later traded to the Eagles on the first day of the 2022 draft. At 27 years old, Brown is on a path to not only becoming one of the better receivers in league history, but the greatest in Eagles history as well.

And through it all, he has kept the same mindset internally that has helped allow him to be great. It was also his parting message to the Ole Miss graduates this weekend.

"Success isn't owned," he said. "It's rented – and rent is due every single day."
