Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd earn Rashford boost, Alexander-Arnold fee, Arsenal contract talks

Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford is said to be wanted by Barcelona

There is little over two weeks until the transfer window opens this summer. The Club World Cup sees the market open in June as teams are provided to strengthen their sides in time for the competition in the United States.

It could see Liverpool still earn some money by selling Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid before his contract expires at the end of next month. The full-back has already decided to depart Anfield, much to the chagrin of supporters.

Clubs not involved in the competition are also eyeing their moves. Manchester United will require some improvement after a poor Premier League season but sales could be the first order of business as Marcus Rashford and Antony eye permanent moves to La Liga.

Arsenal's quest for a striker is set to continue too as they face falling short once again. A deal for midfielder Martin Zubimendi appears to be all complete ahead of the window opening.

And as the battle for Champions League places continues, Manchester City, Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa are all sure to want to strengthen their hands in time for next season. The former have already decided to part ways with Kevin De Bruyne at the end of his deal, and the Belgian is set for no shortage of offers.

Stay tuned to Mirror Football for all of that and more as we bring you the latest transfer news and gossip on Monday.

Arsenal deal

Arsenal could hand Leandro Trossard a new deal at the Emirates. The Belgian has seen reports link him with a move away from the club this summer but he could yet stay at the club.

Alexander-Arnold fee

Liverpool could still bring in £1m for Trent Alexander-Arnold this summer as Real Madrid look to sign the full-back in time for the Club World Cup, per reports.

The defender's deal expires at the end of June but Los Blancos could look to secure his signature earlier if they can.
