Man Utd will focus on player sales in the summer transfer window as they attempt to overhaul their squad.
Manchester United will prioritise player sales this summer, regardless of whether they win the Europa League and earn Champions League qualification. United are 16th in the Premier League following the weekend home defeat to West Ham, but could yet salvage their season if they achieve success in Europe.
It has been estimated that Champions League qualification would be worth at least £100 million to the club, which would not only a huge boost to their financial situation but would also make them a more attractive prospect for any new signing. United have already budgeted for next season on the presumption they won't have European football, and even if they do, they acknowledge player sales will be crucial this summer.
Ruben Amorim is open to selling several senior stars, though there is added incentive to move Marcus Rashford on due to the fact he is an academy graduate, and any fee received for him would be counted as pure profit. Aston Villa have the option to buy Rashford for £40 million at the end of the season, but they are not the only team interested in a move for the forward.

Barcelona 'monitoring' Rashford deal
Fabrizio Romano claims Barcelona are one of the clubs interested in a summer move for Marcus Rashford, should he end up back at Manchester United. The La Liga club explored a move for the forward in the January window, but were unable to finance a deal midway through the season.
"Barcelona are among the clubs keen on Rashford, with both director Deco and coach Hansi Flick appreciating Marcus’ versatility, his ability to play on the wing and also eventually as a number 9," Romano told GIVEMESPORT. "They also admire his desire to join Barcelona as was clear in January, before the deal then didn’t happen.
"Sources say it collapsed because Barcelona needed an exit in order to push forward with Rashford deal - the candidate was Ansu Fati but he rejected several proposals both on loan and a permanent transfer. Rashford was not able to join Barcelona, but was still more than happy to join Villa.
"Barcelona keep monitoring the situation for this summer when Fati is fully expected to change his mind and look for a new solution, but this domino will depend on Aston Villa and on Manchester United, as Rashford and Ruben Amorim will have to discuss before any eventual future move. An open story for an important face of the summer transfer window."
