Manchester City fans are expecting big things this summer, with the club having been below par throughout the 2024/25 season.
Although the current campaign could actually end quite positive, with an FA Cup and Champions League football, City have struggled and there is an acceptance that wholesale changes are needed in the next window.
It’s been reported that as many as seven senior players could leave Manchester City.
We already know that Kevin De Bruyne is leaving when his contract expires.
But fans may also bid farewell to the likes of Ederson, Bernardo Silva, John Stones, Nathan Ake, Jack Grealish and James McAtee.

One position that will likely be targeted for strengthening is right-back.

Matheus Nunes has been used there for the most part following the mid-season departure of Kyle Walker.
But the England international will leave permanently this summer, and one player City could move for is Pedro Porro.
Man City interested in Pedro Porro transfer
It’s been claimed by Caught Offside that City are interested in re-signing Pedro Porro this summer.
As most people know, Porro is a former City player, having joined the club in 2019 from Girona.
But he never made a first-team appearance, heading out straight away to join Real Valladolid on loan before going to Sporting CP for a couple of years and then turning the move permanent in 2022.

Apparently, City are looking at possibly making an approach to re-sign Porro in the next transfer window.
But they face competition in the form of Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
Tottenham Hotspur are not particularly keen to sell Porro, who has been a key player for them despite their poor season in the league.
But it’s stated they may change their stance if an offer of around €60-€65 million (£50-£55 million) is made.
Back in November, it was claimed City may have had to fork out £80 million to sign Porro. It is possible Spurs’ awful season may have led to the fall in valuation.
City, of course, have previous spending that kind of money on a right-back from Tottenham, having landed Walker for £50 million back in 2017.

It will be fascinating to see if City go for Porro, and if the player would be receptive to an approach.
His spell at the club was unusual to say the least.
Porro may have technically been a City player. But he never actually even made it to Manchester, trained with the City squad, or met Pep Guardiola.
Of that period of his career, Porro said in December 2023 (via Daily Mail): “It’s not just in football, in any walk of life when you realise that you don’t fit in or not part of something, you have just got to get on with it,’ says Porro of his time at City. ‘You’ve got to follow your own path.

“One thing I am as an individual, I’m very ambitious and I showed quite a lot of strength to come through that and to get where I am today by following my own path.
“It’s cool. I have total respect for City. It happens in football, I just probably wasn’t in their plans at that time. When you are a footballer, you have to look for ways out of that situation, whether it’s a move or a loan.”
The fact that there is no ill feeling on the player’s side may well mean there is a chance for City to do this deal.
