The Cleveland Browns made a surprising move by drafting two quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL draft. First, they selected Dillon Gabriel in the third round. After that, they brought in Shedeur Sanders when he slid to the fifth round.
Both young quarterbacks are competing for playing time in 2025. They're both talented and have a chance to work their way onto the field.
With a major competition brewing, Gabriel was asked about the two rookies going head-to-head. He had a perfect response to the question.
"I think the more questions I get asked like that, it just divides the team," he said. "For me, we’re in a room full of not just us – Kenny, Joe and Deshaun. For us, we know how important a healthy QB room is. But also, a team that you want to be a part of. How do you create an environment every single day where everybody can be their best? That’s just pushing one another, which talent naturally does. Naturally, it’s healthy. For us, we all go do our thing and everyone wins."
Fans absolutely loved the way Gabriel handled the question. He has received a lot of praise for his response.

"Great answer, which isn’t shocking if you’ve ever heard or been around Dillon. Great head on his shoulders," one fan wrote.
Another fan chimed in, "Class response. Quit trying to cause division between these two young men."
"Professional answer," a third fan commented.
A fourth comment read, "This might be the most mature, sensible QB the Browns have selected in quite some time."
"Leader. Any press is good press. I’m betting on this guy," another fan wrote.
Gabriel will be fun to watch develop throughout training camp and preseason action. His competition with Sanders will be watched closely as well. Showing this kind of maturity is a big step towards creating a successful career for himself.
