GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Monday at Lambeau Field, you can help tackle the need for blood this spring.
The American Red Cross is once again teaming up with the Green Bay Packers for the Give Back Community Blood Drive.
It’s from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Johnsonville Tailgate Village in the Lambeau Field parking lot. Enter Parking Lot 4, right off Lombardi Ave.
Every 2 seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. There is always a need, and you never know when you’ll need it. Blood has a shelf life of 42 days, and the need is constant.
You can make an appointment for the blood drive, but walk-ins are always welcome.
“First and foremost, are you feeling well today? Hydrate. Make sure that you are drinking so you’re feeling hydrated, you’re feeling good there. We always recommend that you have some kind of meal. You’re feeling full, hydrated, as healthy as you can. It helps the whole process go a little bit smoother,” Rebecca Rockhill, executive director of the american Red Cross Northeast Wisconsin chapter said.
The goal of the community blood drive is 300 pints.
All donors get a giveaway item and a chance to win Packers prizes.
