“It’s So Bad”: Derrick Harmon Goes Emotional On Mother’s Day Remembering Mom’s Death

Derrick Harmon, newly drafted defensive tackle for the New York Giants shared an emotional Mother’s Day post for his late mother, Tiffany Saine. Harmon lost his mother right after the 2025 NFL draft when he was selected by the Giants as the 21st pick in the very first round. Tiffany Saine, Derrick Harmon’s mother, was on life support when the news was announced that he had been selected by New York.

Before being picked by the New York Giants, Derrick Harmon split his college football career with the Michigan State Spartans and the Oregon Ducks. In his senior year for the Oregon Ducks, Harmon managed a total of 45 tackles, including 27 solo tackles and 18 assisted tackles.

“Happy Mother’s Day ma. I didn’t think today would be this hard on me but it’s so bad.” Derrick Harmon captioned his Instagram post, sharing a picture of himself and his mother.

Derrick Harmon will be a valuable addition to the Pittsburgh Steelers who did not too well in the previous NFL season. Last year, the Pittsburgh Steelers finished second in the AFC North after winning ten games and losing seven. The Steelers managed to make it to the Wild Card round to take on the Baltimore Ravens. However, they lost 28-14 and were kicked from the tournament.

However, George Pickens recently posted on his Instagram stories that it was not him who commented such things about his former team. Pickens also blamed Steelers fans for the comment made using his name, further going on to blame AI for the remark.

George Pickens played for the Pittsburgh Steelers as a wide receiver from 2022 to 2024 and now will play for the Cowboys. In the previous NFL season, Pickens managed a total of 59 receptions for 900 yards, scoring three touchdowns for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Before the NFL, the wide receiver played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs from 2019 to 2021. The Pittsburgh Steelers traded George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a third-round selection in the 2026 NFL draft and a late-round pick swap.
