**FRISCO, Texas --** The full 2025 NFL schedule release will come out on May 14, but the Cowboys have already learned their week one game: Opening the NFL season on Thursday, September 4 at 7:20 P.M. CT, against the reigning Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles.
After going 0-2 last year to the Eagles and losing by combined 75-13 margin, Dallas will look to begin the Brian Schottenheimer era by ruining their biggest NFC East rival's Super Bowl celebration with the eyes of the entire NFL world on their standalone game.
Barring additional injury, the Cowboys will also get Dak Prescott back against the Eagles after he missed both games against them last season with his hamstring injury. In his career, Prescott is 9-4 against Philadelphia in his career and an even 3-3 on the road at Lincoln Financial Field.
The spotlight has already been on him this offseason, but the light will shine brighter on Brian Schottenheimer that night as he looks to join Wade Phillips, Chan Gailey and Barry Switzer as the only Cowboys coaches to win in their debuts with the team.
The league's full 2025 NFL schedule release will air on NFL Network Wednesday, May 14 at 7:30 P.M. with select games being revealed over the next few days.
