Manchester City could sign AC Milan’s Tijjani Reijnders and Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White during the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph ‘s Mike McGrath.
The journalist is usually very reliable when it comes to transfer stories and he says that Reijnders is a “serious target” for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Reijnders will not be available on the cheap, though, with it being suggested that Milan will hold out for a club record fee, which currently stands at the £57m they received from Real Madrid for Kaka in 2009.

Midfield is an area of the pitch that City are keen to reinforce and Reijnders has been watched regularly this season.
The Dutchman has scored 15 goals and registered 5 assists in 51 appearances for Milan and his performances have also attracted the interest of other Premier League teams, including Chelsea and Manchester United.
A move for Gibbs-White is also on the agenda
Despite the clear interest in Reijnders, McGrath has emphasised that there is “a possibility” that two midfielders will be signed.
Gibbs-White is also high up City’s list of transfer targets but reports have suggested that Forest could hold out for a fee in the region of £100m.
It means that the Manchester club may have to shell out close to £160m if they want to bring in both players over the course of the summer.
Where does this leave City’s interest in Wirtz?
Such a sizeable outlay would likely curtail any attempt to snap up Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. However, it may be the case that Gibbs-White and Reijnders will only be pursuedd if Guardiola’s team fail to persuade Wirtz into making the switch to the Etihad.
Currently, it is believed that there is disagreement among Wirtz’s entourage and family as to where he should play next season.
