Arsenal have offered centre-back Will Sweet a professional contract ahead of next season.
Sweet enjoyed an impressive campaign which included him making ten appearances for the U21s as well as featuring in the UEFA Youth League.
The Hale End product wore the captain’s armband yesterday as he made his final appearance at U18 level in a 3-0 win away to Aston Villa.
A Wales U19 international, Sweet is an impressive passer and played 38 times for Arsenal U18s.
It is expected that Louie Copley and Dan Casey will also be offered professional terms, while left-back Marcell Washington, who has been on trial from Chelsea, will sign a professional contract in July.
It remains to be seen whether Daniel Oyetunde, Max Kuczynski and Cam’ron Ismail will be offered professional deals.
Jakai Fisher, Reece Clairmont and Zac Shuaib could all depart.
