Skip Bayless is hoping to use Tom Brady as a springboard to another stint in the limelight.
Bayless called Brady out in the aftermath of the latter’s appearance on the “IMPAULSIVE” podcast. On the topic of Shedeur Sanders’ draft slide, Brady — a new minority Raiders owner — claimed he was not part of any of Las Vegas’ prospect evaluation process. Co-host Mike Maljak informed Brady that Bayless claimed the legendary quarterback was part of the Raiders’ process, which prompted Brady to explicitly air out a gripe with the media.
“That’s the problem with media: Everyone can just say whatever the (expletive) they want,” Brady said.
Bayless went over the top in his response to Brady by posting a 25-minute (!) video to his X account Friday morning. Included was a direct shot at the seven-time Super Bowl champion.
“In the end, it wasn’t like Brady actually called me out because he didn’t call me out by name on the Jake Paul podcast,” Bayless said, as transcribed by Sports Illustrated. “He just said that was wrong, and by translation, of course, I’m wrong. Tom did it with the big, broad brush. He condemned the media. He took the cowardly way out. Just take me on, I don’t care. I can take it because I’m right.”

Bayless, who currently is not employed by any major TV network, clearly is hoping to have Brady join him for a debate on his own personal channel. Although Bayless undeniably is a legend of the modern-day “takes” game, he probably shouldn’t hold his breath about the idea of trading verbal jabs with the greatest quarterback of all time.
