As Aaron Rodgers’ free agency continues, there’s speculation that the veteran quarterback may not even sign with a team.
But Rodgers has been linked to the Steelers over the last several weeks, and former NFL receiver Keyshawn Johnson doesn’t think the 41-year-old would leave Pittsburgh hanging.
“He’s going. 100%,” Johnson said on a recent episode of Speak. “Do you think that Aaron Rodgers wants to hold them hostage and then leave them standing at the altar? I don’t.”
The Jets and Rodgers parted ways last month after two disappointing seasons in New York.
Rodgers’ 2023 season ended after four snaps when he tore his Achilles in Week 1 against the Bills. With a healthy Rodgers, expectations going into 2024 were once again high, but the four-time NFL MVP led a team that instead went 5-12.
In 17 games last season, Rodgers completed 63% of his passes for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
