Lamine Yamal has been tipped to win the Ballon d’Or by super agent Jorge Mendes after playing a key role in Sunday’s epic Clasico win.
The Barcelona teenager scored another brilliant goal as Barca ran out 4-3 winners and moved seven points clear at the top of the table.
Mendes is now in no doubt that Yamal is the very best player in the world right now.
“Lamine deserves to win the Ballon d’Or,” he told Fabrizio Romano.
“He’s been the best player in the world this season. That is very clear. His level has to be key to winning the Ballon d’Or.”
Yamal is one of several Barca players thought to be in the running for the prize. Raphinha is also thought to he a strong contender after a stunning season in Catalunya.
Pedri is another Barca player in with a shout following a season of inspirational perfomances in midfield.
