Skip Bayless has a bone to pick with Tom Brady.
During a recent appearance on the “IMPAULSIVE” podcast, Brady said he wasn’t part of the Las Vegas Raiders’ draft evaluations — including that of Shedeur Sanders who wasn’t drafted until the fifth round by the Cleveland Browns. Co-host Mike Majlak told Brady that Bayless said the seven-time Super Bowl champion was indeed involved in the process.
“That’s the problem with media,” Brady said. “Everyone can just say whatever the (expletive) they want.”
Bayless got wind of the response and took to X and released a 25-minute video, saying Brady didn’t actually call him out because his name was never said.
“He just said that was wrong, and by translation, of course, I’m wrong,” Bayless said. “Tom did it with the big, broad brush. He condemned the media. He took the cowardly way out. Just take me on, I don’t care. I can take it because I’m right.”
The Raiders, who Brady has ownership stake in, didn’t draft a quarterback until the sixth round. Given Brady knows Sanders well, Bayless likely wasn’t the only one to assume that Brady was part of the prospect evaluations leading up to the NFL Draft.
Bayless, who left FOX Sports 1’s “Undisputed” after eight years, was once one of Brady’s biggest defenders throughout the quarterback’s career. But he wasted no time clapping back at the future Hall of Famer.
Perhaps Bayless is hoping Brady will come on his personal channel to discuss the topic further.
