Details of Chelsea’s new away kit for the 2025/26 season appears to have leaked online ahead of release.
Chelsea’s brand new away shirt for the forthcoming 2025/26 season appears to have been confirmed ahead of its official release following an apparent leak.
Photographs of the new away kit have appeared on Footy Headlines’ site after the new jersey was picked up by a Vietnamese collector. The images appear to confirm prior information leaked online, suggesting that they are likely to be genuine.
The ‘leak’ follows the unveiling of images of the new home kit, details of which can be found by clicking here. Nike are continuing to act as the club’s kit manufacturer as they have since 2017.
Chelsea’s new 2025/26 away kit revealed after leak
As suggested by previous leaks, Chelsea’s change kit for the coming campaign will be predominantly white – officially the colour is called “phantom”, apparently – with thin green and red stripes running down the middle of the jersey.
It calls back to a similar design with a much thicker red and green stripe down the centre which was worn 50 years ago in the 1974/75 season. That may not go down as a season older Chelsea fans would be especially keen to call back to, given that the Blues were relegated from the old First Division that year along with Luton Town and Carlisle United.
Unlike that shirt, the green and red also appear on the sleeves, while Nike’s swoosh will also be printed in the same dark green – although the club badge remains untouched in terms of its colours.
The official name for the dark green shade used is reportedly “galactic jade” – if the red that complements it has a similarly melodramatic moniker, then it remains unknown at present.
Chelsea’s new look unveiled as Enzo Maresca targets silverware
Hopefully, the fate of the Chelsea side that last wore a white, red and green shirt won’t be reflected in the fortunes of Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea side – as unpredictable as the club have been since the end of the Roman Abramovich era, a relegation battle seems a little unlikely.
Maresca and his charges will hope to wear the shirt as they compete for Champions League qualification – and they may well wear the shirt as the reigning champions of the Europa Conference League, if they beat Real Betis in Krakow at the end of May.
More usually, however, they’ll be sporting a traditional blue kit with red and white detailing, which also features a pattern of what have been described as “gritty” urban landscapes. Although not yet confirmed with photographs, previous links suggest that the third kit in use during the 2025/26 season will be a plain black or dark grey, which some dark blue detailing around the collar.
No official release date for the new shirts is yet known, but it is unlikely that they will be in use during the Club World Cup, which gets underway in the United States in June, with the team expected to wear the current season’s shirts for FIFA’s revamped summer showpiece.
As yet, Chelsea don’t have a front-of-shirt sponsor lined up for any of the new kits, with their short-term deal with Emirati property developer DAMAC lasting only until the end of the Club World Cup.
