Arsenal ‘hot’ for Chelsea player – Gunners working hard to beat competition

Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are battling for Chelsea’s Andrey Santos in the summer window.

That’s according to Le10 Sport, and they state Arsenal are ‘hot’ for the 21-year-old.

The midfielder graduated from Vasco da Gama’s youth system and spent two years with their first team before leaving them for Chelsea in January 2023.

PSG and several other clubs tried to sign him when he was at Vasco da Gama but lost the battle to the Blues. Two months after joining Chelsea, then sent him out on loan back to the Brazilian club.

Santos struggled during his loan spell at Nottingham Forest last season and has been on loan RC Strasbourg since last summer. He’s impressed for the Ligue 1 club, managing 10 goals and five assists from 33 games.

PSG continue to follow the Brazil international, and his performances for Strasbourg have now seen him attract Arsenal’s interest. Le10 state the Gunners are ‘working hard’ to try and sign the Chelsea owned player.

A battle between the Champions League finalist and Arsenal is set to take shape in the upcoming window, according to the claims. The report, however, states Chelsea aren’t willing to let Santos leave easily.

Towards the end of March, Calciomercato.it stated Enzo Maresca’s side are looking to sell Santos for €35-40m. Le10 now state otherwise, and Chelsea could probably be open to a sale, depending on the offers they’ll receive.
