Arsenal took a step closer to returning to the Champions League, but some supporters are already looking towards the summer transfer window.
The Gunners moved to 68 points following their comeback 2-2 draw at Liverpool, and just two points from their remaining two matches would guarantee them a top-five finish. Mikel Arteta's side host Newcastle in their penultimate match before ending the season against bottom of the table Southampton.
Arteta can then shift his focus to securing the new additions needed to help his team challenge for the title next season and end their trophy hoodoo.
Here, the Daily Star Sport looks at the latest Arsenal transfer news.
Gunners fail with Chelsea bid
Arsenal have seen a seven-figure bid for Chelsea's young talent Freddy Bernal reportedly rejected. Despite the Gunners offering a hefty £1.25million, Chelsea are keen to hold onto the 16-year-old goalkeeper who is yet to make his senior debut.

Bernal has made five appearances in the Under-18 Premier League this season, including starting in the last two matches. He was also selected for the England Under-18 squad for three internationals in March, although he remained an unused substitute against the Czech Republic, France and Portugal.
Over the summer, Arsenal bolstered their ranks with two young goalkeepers - Lucas Nygaard from Nordsjaelland and Tommy Setford from Ajax. Both have had game time in Premier League 2 this season, with Setford also making the matchday squads in the Premier League and Champions League.
Gary Neville on Arsenal forward
Football pundit Gary Neville believes that Arsenal's issues up front mean they need to bring in two new forwards. The former Manchester United captain thinks the Gunners require a traditional number nine and another fresh face, particularly given the absence of injured duo Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.

Gary Neville, while speaking on Sky Sports, relayed his views on Arsenal's potential transfer strategy: "It doesn't necessarily have to be a 25-30 goal striker by the way. It's not going to be Olivier Giroud – but it needs someone up there who can play the position, who knows how to bring other people into play, who can sort of link with Martin Odegaard, who can make those sort of connections with the wide players.
"And they do need another forward as well. So they need two forwards, one's got to be more of a central striker and one is someone that can come from wide but be a goal threat."
Trossard contract talks
Arsenal have begun negotiations for a contract extension with forward Leandro Trossard, according to The Mail. His contract is set to expire in 2026 but a new deal would reportedly tie him down until 2029.

Saudi Pro League clubs are reportedly eyeing a move for Trossard after Al-Ittihad's failed attempt last September. The Jeddah-based club ended up signing former Spurs winger Steven Bergwijn instead but could circle back for Trossard later this year.

At 30 years old, Trossard has been pivotal for Arsenal, featuring in every game across the Premier League and Champions League this season, scoring 10 goals and registering nine assists across all competitions.
