Arsenal are in pole position to sign Bournemouth star Dean Huijsen this summer according to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The Gunners are firmly in the mix to sign the Spain international, who is expected to leave the Vitality Stadium this summer when his £50m release clause becomes active amid interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs.
Now Mikel Arteta's side are said to be at the front of the queue to sign the 20-year-old with a final decision from the player expected soon.

Huijsen, who scored against Arsenal in Bournemouth's 2-1 win two weeks ago and has been described as a 'generational talent', is also the subject of interest from Premier League champions Liverpool, as well as Spanish giants Real Madrid.
But according to Plettenberg, it's Arsenal who are in pole position to seal a deal for the central defender this summer.
Bayern Munich have also been linked with a move to sign the former Juventus star, however, they are now progressing with a move to sign Jonathan Tah on a free transfer from Bayer Leverkusen instead.
It's also been revealed that the £50m release clause is able to be paid in three installments rather than having to be paid as a lump sum.
Arsenal have already begun to make their moves for the summer window in other positions, with a move for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi expected to be completed after they completed an agreement with the player, as exclusively revealed by GMS.
The midfielder's £51m release clause is expected to be triggered once the season comes to an end, and he is expected to become Andrea Berta's first signing at the Emirates Stadium. It seems that Huijsen could now follow him soon after.
