It’s becoming a bit of a common theme for Celtic to bring back former players to the club.
During the January transfer window, Jota made a surprising return to Celtic after his brief stint in Saudi Arabia, and then for Rennes in France’s top tier.
But the one everyone has been talking about, ahead of the summer transfer window, is Kieran Tierney coming back to Celtic.
What’s even better about it all is how Celtic have financially benefited from all of this, including Tierney returning on a free transfer after getting £25 million for his talents from Arsenal.
But Tierney and Jota might not be the only ones making a return to the Scottish champions, as a forgotten player could come back.

Ross Doohan’s rumoured Celtic return
Ross Doohan started his career at Celtic, but he didn’t make an appearance for the club before heading for the exit door in 2022.
From 2015 up until his exit, Doohan spent many games on loan at the likes of Ayr United and Tranmere Rovers, before finding his permanent home at Aberdeen.
Doohan has started a fair number of games this term, as Hugh Keevins stated that it was ‘interesting’ that he could come back, before Scott Allan spoke about the difficulty players like the back-up stopper face, as he told Clyde 1 Superscoreboard.
MORE CELTIC STORIES
“It’s just one of them positions in football, the goalkeepers, especially the young ones, they have to be patient with maybe guys in other positions,” said Allan.
“You look at Ross Doohan, who is at Aberdeen, he was at Celtic when I was there. He has been given an opportunity.”
Keevins responded: “I think he (Sinisalo) has shown enough to signal the fact that he should be at Celtic next season.
“Ross Doohan, even though he was at Celtic with you (Scott Allan), in the past, apparently, Celtic are interested in bringing him back. Interesting times.”
Allan added: “That’s another one who has got through the number one goalkeeper being injured. Unless that happens, you don’t see these goalkeepers.”
