Barcelona risk missing out on two leading summer transfer targets

La Liga giants Barcelona are at serious risk of missing out on a pair of transfer targets with a view to next season.

This comes amid confirmation that Bayer Leverkusen pair Jonathan Tah and Jeremie Frimpong are both inching towards moves to other clubs.

In the case of the former, long tipped as a potential arrival in Catalunya’s capital, the central defender looks increasingly likely to pen terms with Bayern Munich.

✅ Our story: FC Barcelona know that Jonathan Tah (29) is more inclined to move to FC Bayern and will probably ultimately decide against a move to Spain

Right-back Frimpong, meanwhile, a favourite of Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick, is the subject of intense interest by way of Premier League champions Liverpool.

The Dutchman has been identified as a leading target to replace the outbound Trent Alexander-Arnold at Anfield.

And according to Diario Sport:

‘Several German media have confirmed that Liverpool are already negotiating the signing of Jeremie Frimpong. According to these same sources, in the last few hours they assure that there have been meetings between directors of the English club and agents of the footballer.’
