BEREA -- The Cleveland Browns will play an international game for the first time since the 2017 NFL season as the Browns will take on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday October 5, 2025. The date and opponent for the game was announced on 'Good Morning America' on Tuesday mornings live show.
The Browns are the designated home team, which will be played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England. The starting time for international games on Sunday's is at 9:30 am ET.
Ironically, the only time the Browns played in England in the regular season was also against the Vikings in 2017, as part of the NFL's international series. However, the Browns played against the Vikings at Twickenham Stadium and lost by a final score of 33-16. That was the only time the Browns have played in London during the regular season.
The Browns did play against the Eagles in the preseason in a game in England at Wembley Stadium on August 7, 1989. The Eagles won the game 17-13. At the time, the game was part of the fourth annual American Bowl.
The full 2025 season schedule will be announced on Wednesday night, May 14 at 8 p.m. ET.
At that time, the Browns' 17 games will be set. The Browns will play eight home games at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland and eight away games next season. In addition, they will play a 'home' game in London.
The Browns will face teams in the AFC East, AFC South, AFC West, NFC North and NFC West over the course of the season, as well as their usual home and away games with their AFC North opponents.
