Chelsea striker Marc Guiu is unlikely to be fit for their game against Man United at the weekend, and could miss the Europa Conference League final.
The Blues come off a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United, which saw striker Nicolas Jackson get sent off, meaning that he will miss the next game against Man United on Friday night.
Marc Guiu would be one of the players able to replace Jackson were it not for a hamstring injury that he is currently recovering from. He suffered the issue in February and has seen a slow recovery, meaning that he will miss longer than expected.
Guiu’s been ruled out for Friday, but could come back for the Europa Conference League final later in May against Real Betis, which would be a boost.
Expected return date – Sunday 25 May vs Nottingham Forest (A)
Christopher Nkunku
With Jackson and Guiu out, Nkunku is the third potential striker option who is also unavailable. He is dealing with a knock that he picked up at the start of the month.
Enzo Maresca said at the time: “Christo will be out for I think one week or two weeks, we are not sure. We will see. He will be out for the next ten to 15 days.”
