Few sports are as uniquely American as professional football. 32 teams begin the season with unbridled optimism, believing that this could finally be their year. Each team begins with a clean slate, only to have it wiped out as the season continues.
For a select few teams, the dream lasts all year long until they lift the Lombardi trophy. Those teams are aware of how to handle adversity and a new situation, and they usually come out on top at the end of the season.
Those great teams were able to put it all together, but a small peek into the NFL's schedule shows that games outside of the United States are not going anywhere.
Seven international games are planned in the NFL next season, starting with Week 1's game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs in Brazil.
Just in: The full 2025 NFL international games:

The Minnesota Vikings will meet the Pittsburgh Steelers in Dublin, Ireland for Week 4, and then they'll play the Cleveland Browns in London the following week.
Week 7 ends a trio of London-based games, as the Los Angeles Rams will meet the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars have been pioneers when it comes to NFL games overseas, playing annually in London for many years.
The Indianapolis Colts will meet the Atlanta Falcons in Berlin for a Week 10 matchup, and the overseas slate ends with another first in Week 11.
The Washington Commanders and Miami Dolphins will meet in Madrid that week, marking the first time that an NFL game has been played in Spain.
The NFL's international expansion has led some to wonder if the league would consider moving a team or expanding the league to different countries.
Mexico and Canada would be the obvious choices based on geography, and cities like London and Berlin have shown a desire for NFL football after strong attendance in the regular season.
The NFL may be the biggest sport in America, but the league wants to have the same kind of foothold in other countries as well. Playing games overseas gives fans a chance to see some of their most famous teams and players, and it allows team to expand their fanbase.
