Newcastle are among the clubs who hold a serious interest in Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to reports in Italy.
The Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Goal) claim that the Magpies are one of the leading contenders to secure the Serbian international’s signature, along with teams in Turkey.
Vlahovic is closing in on the final year of his contract and Juve have not been able to agree a new deal with the forward.

Gazzetta report that the Bianconeri have decided to sell the 25-year-old if they receive an offer that matches their €40m (£34m) asking price.
Vlahovic has been linked with a move to England before
The Serbian could have made the switch to the Premier League in the past. Arsenal tried and failed to buy him when he was still at Fiorentina during the 2022 January trasnfer window.
At the time, Vlahovic was keen on staying in Italy and he subsequently secured his move to Juventus instead, where he has gone on to score 55 goals in 140 apppearances over the past three and a half years.
Why are Newcastle interested in the player?
Head coach Eddie Howe will soon be left with just one senior No.9. Callum Wilson set to leave St James’ Park when his contract expires at the end of the season.
A replacement will be needed and the opportunity to snap up a striker of Vlahovic’s quality for a relatively low fee is very tempting.
Of course, Vlahovic would still need to accept playing second fiddle to Alexander Isak if he were to make the move to the North East. That is far from guaranteed, especially if he receives approaches from other teams who can offer him regular minutes.
From the looks of things, Newcastle’s interest in the Serbian is genuine but a lot would need to happen for this deal to go ahead.
