Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak would be open to joining Arsenal or Liverpool in the summer transfer window, BBC journalist Sami Mokbel has confirmed.
Liverpool and Arsenal are likely to both be in the market for a new centre-forward when the summer window opens. Arsenal have struggled in the final third at times this season, with Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus both suffering injuries.
For Liverpool, Fabrizio Romano recently confirmed for GIVEMESPORT that Darwin Nunez is likely to leave this summer, which could leave them short of options in the striker position. Isak's performances in the Premier League are turning heads, but the Magpies will undoubtedly be desperate to keep hold of him.

Alexander Isak in action for Newcastle United
Writing for the BBC, Mokbel has discussed the future of Isak as we edge closer towards the summer window. The journalist has confirmed that Isak has three years left on his deal, so Newcastle have 'virtually no jeopardy' when it comes to selling him in the next few months...
"The crux of the matter here is that Isak will have three years left on his contract at the end of the season. Therefore, Newcastle have virtually no jeopardy heading into the window with regards to selling Isak.
They will be able to demand more or less the same amount of money this summer than they will be able to next summer when the striker will have two years on his contract, particularly if the player continues to excel."
Worryingly for Newcastle fans, Mokbel goes on to say that Isak would be intrigued by the prospect of joining Liverpool or Arsenal. Despite that, the BBC reporter doesn't expect the Swedish striker to 'agitate' a move...
"It is my information that Isak would be intrigued by the prospect of joining say Liverpool or Arsenal, but there are absolutely no indications that the Swede would actively agitate a move."

Isak, described as 'world-class' by the BBC, would undoubtedly be a fantastic signing for the majority of clubs in Europe. The issue will likely be the price tag, with Newcastle not keen to sell. Whether Arsenal or Liverpool are prepared to go big and fork out the monumental fee needed to prise him away remains to be seen.
