Troy Aikman Predicts Super Bowl LX Winner

After watching NFC East rival Philadelphia win the Super Bowl over the Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott made it clear he believed the Eagles weren't a better team.

"I feel like we've competed with the Eagles and beat them for the most part when we've played them," he said at the time. "I don't want to say, ‘Check the record,' when they're the guys holding the trophy right now, so credit to them. They've earned it, and they deserved it by all means but, yeah, very close. Especially even watching the NFC championship and those two teams, teams that we battle against each and every year a couple of times.

While he got flak at the time, former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman jumped in to defend Prescott's honor. "I was with Dak when he made those comments. It's a crazy world right now," Aikman said. "You say something, and the next thing you know, it's on social media, and it's kind of mischaracterized. It's not what was intended or what exactly was said."

Aikman clearly believes in Prescott - and his former team. During an appearance on Good Morning America on May 13, the two-time Super Bowl champion quarterback made his Super Bowl LX prediction...his former team.

His on-air partner Joe Buck said, "I'm going to say Buffalo finally wins it," before Aikman chimed in, "Cowboys...yeah!"

Aikman's faith in his former team caught the attention of the masses on social media.

"Troy is usually not so optimistic wonder what's made him change his mind here," one fan asked.

"He was definitely being facetious but I love it," joked another.

"I don't like how they're laughing at it. Says it all really," concluded a third.

Super Bowl LX kicks off on Feb. 8, 2026.
