Chelsea hit with suspension blow ahead of Man Utd clash, Enzo Maresca will be without two forwards

Chelsea will be missing at least two forwards when they play host to Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Friday night.

It will be Manchester United’s final game to prepare for the Europa League final against Tottenham, but our opponents will be Chelsea as Ruben Amorim’s side travels to London.

All itineraries point to Bilbao next week but United have another match to get over first.

Amorim will hope it doesn’t mean an 18th league defeat this season after losing 2-0 against West Ham last weekend.

The trip to Stamford Bridge will see United take on a team with aim to finish in the top four and securing a Champions League spot.

That should, in turn, make our players think twice about throwing the towel in.

After losing 2-0 against Newcastle, Chelsea need to get a result over United or they won’t be playing in the Champions League next season.

Nicolas Jackson suspended for Manchester United clash

Chelsea will be without striker Nicolas Jackson for the rest of the Premier League after the striker was sent off for violent conduct in the defeat to Newcastle.

Jackson was sent off in the 33rd minute of the crucial clash at St. James’ Park, when he was caught elbowing Sven Botman while challenging for a high ball.

The Blues will be without Jackson for the remainder of the Premier League season, with the striker automatically receiving a three-game ban for a serious foul play offence.

“The season for him is finished,” manager Enzo Maresca conceded after the match. “He’s our nine, he’s our striker. We will need to find a different solution for the last two games. It happened, he will be out for the season and he needs to learn for the future.”

This means United won’t be facing Jackson when the two teams meet on Friday night.

Chelsea will also be without Jadon Sancho because he is currently on loan from United.

Nicolas Jackson record vs Manchester United

Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has yet to score against Manchester United after three matches.

The Senegalese striker will be made wait longer because he won’t get another chance this season.
