“So yes, we’ll be discussing it; obviously, we’ll talk about it. As for me, I’d stay for as many years as possible. So yes, it also depends on the club and everything else. These are details that are sorted out separately. I’m very calm now. We’re living in the moment, happy, enjoying the Premier League and nothing more.”
Liverpool have managed to win the Premier League title this season, and they will be hoping to win major trophies next year as well. They must hold onto their best players to succeed. Diaz is undoubtedly one of their best attackers. The 28-year-old is capable of operating on either flank, and he will continue to chip in with goals and creativity. The player is at the peak of his powers, and it does not make sense for Liverpool to let him leave anytime soon.
Barcelona could certainly use more depth on the flanks, but the Catalan outfit will have to move on to other targets. Liverpool are under no pressure to sell, and the comments from the player will further strengthen their stance. Any club hoping to sign him will have to pay an absurd amount of money.
