Manchester United resume their Premier League campaign on Friday evening when they face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Last time out, Manchester United lost 2-0 to West Ham at Old Trafford, extending the winless run in the Premier League to seven straight matches.
The Red Devils remain 16th in the Premier League table, a position that Ruben Amorim calls “embarrassing”. There are only two games remaining to change that position, and next up is a trip to Chelsea.
It is the final Premier League game before United travel to Bilbao for the 2025 Europa League final, so Amorim could rotate his side that faces the Blues in London.

Can Jadon Sancho face Man United in the Premier League?
While United are looking to regain some pride in the Premier League, Chelsea are involved in a chaotic race for Champions League qualification.
In the summer, United loaned Jadon Sancho to Chelsea and the 25-year-old is still unsure where he will be playing next summer.
On Friday evening, Jadon Sancho will be hoping for a Chelsea win but the Premier League handbook states that he is ineligible to face his parent club.

The Premier League prohibits loan players from facing their parent club. Sancho could have faced United in cup competitions if permission was granted in his deal, but the two clubs were never drawn against each other this season.
Therefore, Sancho will be forced to watch from the sidelines for United’s visit on Friday evening.
The same will apply in the final Premier League match, with Marcus Rashford ineligible to face United when Aston Villa travel to Old Trafford later this month.
Jadon Sancho’s future explained as Chelsea weigh up summer deal
Sancho will be watching from the stands at Stamford Bridge slightly concerned who to root for on Friday evening.
Chelsea have a £25m obligation to buy Sancho this summer as per the agreement of United’s loan.
However, more recently it was revealed that there is a £5m penalty fee in Sancho’s loan that Chelsea could trigger to send the winger back to Old Trafford this summer.

It seems unlikely that Sancho will ever play for United again, but thankfully there are other clubs circling for his signature. Bayer Leverkusen have shown interest in Sancho, so even if Chelsea decline a permanent deal it feels inevitable that he will be moved on by United.
United players do not want Sancho to return and fans will certainly not want to see him back in Amorim’s squad.
