One Chelsea star is moving closer to exit ahead of summer window. He is already away from Stamford Bridge on loan. Several clubs are showing interest in him after impressive display this season.
The star in question here is Kepa Arrizabalaga. He is 30 years old Spanish keeper who has been with the Blues since 2018. But, Kepa has not been their first-choice keeper in recent seasons. Last season, he was on loan at Real Madrid for whom he played 20 games.
Kepa returned to Chelsea with an UCL medal last summer. But, the Blues had no intention to keep him. As a result, the Spaniard was sent on another loan and this time at Bournemouth. The West London club are not prepared to sell Kepa on permanent basis.
Kepa Arrizabalaga close to Chelsea exit
According to Caught Offside, Kepa is wanted by Bournemouth on permanent basis. The Cherries are impressed with his superb form this season. Kepa has played 29 league games and has kept 7 clean sheets by making 95 saves.
However, the Cherries may still struggle to sign Kepa on permanent deal. This is because of their financial status as it may prove hard for them to offer the player’s demanded salary. As of now, the Blues are covering majority of his salary.
Kepa has also gained interest from other parts of Europe. He is wanted by Bayer Leverkusen. The German club is keen to sign an upgrade on their current keeper. Kepa can be impressed with their offer due to their availability in UCL.
Lastly, Kepa also has interest from Real Madrid. Los Blancos are said to sign him as a backup keeper. But, they will be seen making a move only if Andriy Lunin decides to exit. The Ukrainian is currently lacking game-time despite proving his worth in recent seasons.
