Floria Star And Bucs Ex Arrested On Disturbing Child Abuse Charges

A Florida native and former NFL player has reportedly been arrested on a collection of disturbing charges including child abuse.

Adarius Taylor, who played in the league from 2014 to 2019, has been arrested on charges that per a report include "one count of negligent child abuse without bodily harm and one count of soliciting another for prostitution, lewdness or assignation."

Taylor, 34, was reportedly arrested on the charges on Monday.

The seven-year NFL veteran, who starred collegiately at Florida Atlantic, was a linebacker for seven years. After being a UDFA, he played for the Carolina Panthers from 2014 to 2015 and then with his hometown-area Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2015 to 2018.

Taylor's last NFL season came in 2019 with the Cleveland Browns, and after that he had a stint in the Canadian Football League. He last played there in 2023.

Taylor was released after posting bond, which was reportedly set at $6,000.

During his time in the NFL, the native of Bartow, Florida, who attended high school at Lake Gibson in Lakeland, racked up a total of 140 tackles (five of those for a loss), with two sacks, three forced fumbles, and an interception on the field.

Taylor was largely a special-teams player though in 2018 he did become a starter for a time in Tampa Bay.

Taylor at one time had his last name changed to honor his father Basil George Taylor, who died when Taylor was 16 years old. Before he changed his last name, it was Glanton, which is his mother's last name.
