Texans Made 2 Roster Moves On Tuesday

The Houston Texans remain busy during the offseason.

Their recent moves highlight an ongoing commitment to enhancing team depth and maintaining competitive fire throughout the lineup.

Tuesday brought news of two roster [adjustments](https://www.houstontexans.com/news/houston-texans-transactions-5-13-2025) that demonstrate the team’s continued fine-tuning efforts.

Defensive tackle Folorunso Fatukasi made his return to the Houston Texans, signing a contract whose terms remain undisclosed.

To create roster space, the team parted ways with cornerback Gregory Junior.

Junior’s NFL path began as a sixth-round selection in the 2022 draft, when the Jacksonville Jaguars took him with the 197th overall pick.

After a brief stop with the Indianapolis Colts, he landed on the Houston Texans’ practice squad in 2024.

Whereas, Fatukasi enters his second campaign with Houston, having already earned respect among his teammates.

The 30-year-old defensive lineman made his mark last season, contributing one sack and 24 tackles across 11 starts during his initial year with the Houston Texans in 2024.

Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 318 pounds, Fatukasi has built a reputation as a run stopping specialist throughout his career.

His NFL journey includes 187 tackles (with 27 for loss) and 5.5 sacks over 86 games (63 starts) split between the New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Houston Texans.

While injuries have occasionally sidelined him, including a shoulder issue that delayed his Houston return, he rejoins the team at a time when most franchises are focusing on rookie contracts.

Though not primarily known for rushing the passer, Fatukasi excels at shutting down opposing run games.
