Indianapolis Colts: Fans React to Team’s Anthony Richardson Video Post on Tuesday

Through two seasons with theIndianapolis Colts, quarterback Anthony Richardson has yet to prove to the team that he’s a long-term answer under center. Richardson, who is about to turn 23 years old on May 22, is coming off a mediocre 2024 NFL season.

In his second year in the league, the former Florida Gators star signal-caller passed for 1,814 yards and eight touchdowns with 12 interceptions on just a 47.7 percent completion rate.

Given his struggles and the arrival of former New York Giants starting QB Daniel Jones in Indianapolis, there is legitimate pressure on Richardson to show great improvement on the field. Otherwise, the 2025 NFL season could be his last with the Colts, who took him fourth overall in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft.

Colts offensive coordinator, however, seems appreciative of the work and progress that Richardson is showing in the offseason.

ViaMyles Simmons of Pro Football Talk:

“I think that’s natural for a quarterback as they go through their NFL career, to find aspects of their game to refine, especially in the offseason,” Cooter said. “One year it’s footwork, one year it’s something else — these guys are really, really on top of their craft. I think that’s just a part of Anthony’s sort of work habits in the offseason, what he’s looking to get better, working to improve. This is a good time of year, you guys aren’t out there shooting cameras at them, so they can work on anything they need to work on and sort of try to fine tune it.”
