Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams would be open to a summer switch to Arsenal after his camp held initial talks with sporting director Andrea Berta, journalist Graeme Bailey has claimed.
The Spanish forward’s representatives have reportedly informed interested Premier League clubs that Williams is willing to move to England this summer, although he has yet to make a final decision on his future.
The 22-year-old could still remain at Bilbao for one more season if they manage to qualify for next season’s Champions League, despite long-standing interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.
Bilbao appear well-placed to secure Champions League qualification, as they currently sit fourth in La Liga with three games to play.

According to Bailey, Arsenal and Chelsea are both 'at the front of the queue' to sign Williams this summer, although Liverpool, Manchester City, and Newcastle have also been in contact with his camp.
The £400,000-a-week winger was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates last summer before Arsenal opted to sign Raheem Sterling on loan as a late reinforcement on the wing.
Williams has been impressive for Bilbao this season, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists in 44 appearances across all competitions.
He is believed to have a £50m release clause in his contract, which runs until June 2027.
Arsenal look set to complete the signing of Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi in the coming days and are anticipating a busy summer window with Berta now in charge.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish executive is working on ‘several deals’ at the moment, with Zubimendi expected to become the first signing of his era at the Emirates.
