Defenders Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro were missing from Manchester United's training session on Wednesday morning.

De Ligt has missed the last two games with a suspected knee injury after being forced off in the first half of United's 4-3 defeat to Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium just over a week ago.

Head coach Ruben Amorim described his injury as "not a big issue". He confirmed he would miss the Old Trafford double-header against Athletic Bilbao and West Ham and he would then be assessed further.

Yoro, meanwhile, was forced off in the second half of Sunday's 2-0 defeat to West Ham United at Old Trafford after sustaining a foot injury. He was limping as he left the stadium but Amorim said it was too soon to offer an update.

United's players trained in front of the media as part of their preparations for next Wednesday night's Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur.

United will face Chelsea in their penultimate Premier League game of the season at Stamford Bridge on Friday night before heading to Bilbao to face Spurs.

A large group of players, including several academy players, participated in the main session. Jonny Evans and Toby Collyer were involved after recently returning from injury lay-offs.

Among the youngsters involved were Jaydan Kamason, James Overy, Godwill Kukonki, Sekou Kone and Jim Thwaites. Ethan Wheatley, who joined League Two side Walsall on loan in January, was also involved.

Ayden Heaven was not involved in the session. He was spotted training individually ahead of last week's 4-1 win over Athletic.

Diogo Dalot took part in an individual training session.
