The NFL’s week one game in São Paulo, Brazil will be exclusively shown on YouTube.
Announced in a statement on May 13, the game at the Arena Corinthians on September 5will be streamed on the YouTube app and YouTube TV. This marks the first time ever the NFL has exclusively broadcasted a regular season game on the platform.
The Los Angeles Chargers – with an opponent yet to be confirmed – will become the third NFL franchise to compete in a regular season fixture in the Brazilian city after the league marked its first entry into the market last season as the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Green Bay Packers 34-29.
While last year’s São Paulo game was broadcasted by NBC’s Peacock, the league has taken a similar approach by live streaming the 2025 game on YouTube, albeit, this year’s game will be free to watch and will span a larger global audience.
“We are excited to expand our relationship with YouTube to bring this year’s Brazil game to a worldwide audience,” said Hans Schroeder, NFL Executive VP of Media Distribution.
“YouTube and YouTube TV have been incredible partners of the NFL for several years and boast an immense global reach, and we look forward to week one in São Paulo.”
Recognising the global reach of YouTube, the NFL first partnered with the platform in 2023 to broadcast out-of-market games with NFL Sunday Ticket, which was expanded last year to include Youtube TV.
“Last year, people spent over 350 million hours watching official NFL content on YouTube, so it’s both fitting and thrilling to continue to build our relationship with our partners at the NFL,” said Mary Ellen Coe, Chief Business Officer at YouTube.
“Streaming the Friday night game to fans for free around the world will mark YouTube’s first time as a live NFL broadcaster — and we’ll do it in a way that only YouTube can, with an interactive viewing experience and creators right at the center of the experience.”

“UK fans have a history of showing up and embracing the Minnesota Vikings, creating what often feels like a homefield environment, and we are hopeful that is what we see again in 2025.”
The NFL will also be hosting international regular season games in Berlin, Germany (November 9) and Madrid, Spain (November 16). 2025 is set for the most international NFL games in the league’s history.
