The Kansas City Chiefs' offseason has seen a lot of wheeling and dealing done by the front office, with the offensive line the biggest need.
That was fortified by Jaylon Moore and then Josh Simmons being signed in to free agency and the draft, respectively, while corner Kristian Fulton also walked through the doors.
There were some losses, with Joe Thuney, DeAndre Hopkins, Justin Watson, Justin Reid, Tershawn Wharton, and Derrick Nnadi being the main players who moved on.
Still, the defending AFC champs have had a solid enough offseason, and KC fans will be pleased at the good-news note that Pro Football Focus grades the Chiefs' work at a B.
"Trading Joe Thuney (80.0 PFF overall grade) was not ideal, but the Chiefs will hope Kingsley Suamataia (37.9 PFF overall grade) can fill in at guard better than he did at tackle," Pro Football Focus writes. "New signing Jaylon Moore, who felt like an overpay, could start at tackle while first-round pick Josh Simmons gets his knee ready.
"Kansas City's draft was filled with scheme fits, and they retained Trey Smith and Nick Bolton. The receiver room could be better, but getting Rashee Rice back will help."

The offensive line is still the biggest issue, if you want to call it that, with Moore and Simmons, the two new guys. Will they be able to mesh together? Kingsley Suamataia is shifting inside to guard. Can he handle the switch?
There are a couple of unknowns there, plus Rashee Rice is returning from his knee injury, how well can we expect him to play from the outset? So too Marquise Brown and Juju Smith-Schuster, both of whom underwhelmed last season? Will Patrick Mahomes' weapons be able to perform to go on a deep playoff run?
The Chiefs will be there when the whips are cracking in January, but exactly how it looks is unknown. The offseason has been one that could be met with a so-so reaction.
But we aren't even at training camp yet. That is where we will see who separates themselves and who might be a surprise starter for Andy Reid's team.
For now, the grade feels about right. Good, but not great.
