Barcelona’s plans for the summer transfer window are reportedly starting to take shape as the club aim to strengthen the squad.
According to ESPN, Barcelona want a “central defender, a full-back and a left winger” in a bid to “go one step further” in the Champions League next year.
Plenty of names are already being thrown around, but it still remains to be seen how much Barcelona will be able to spend this summer.
However, the report does add that “there is an expectation some players will leave to enable investment elsewhere.”
[Marcus Rashford](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2025/1/21/24348837/deco-responds-to-marcus-rashford-to-barcelona-transfer-talk), Nico Williams, Rafa Leao and Luis Diaz are just some of the names that have been mentioned as attacking options ahead of the summer window.
Jonathan Tah had appeared set to arrive in the summer from Bayer Leverkusen but that deal looks to have collapsed, with the defender likely to move to Bayern instead.
As for left-backs, the rumor mill has previously claimed Marc Pubill and [Rayo Vallecano’s Andrei Rațiu](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2025/4/1/24398116/bayer-leverkusen-join-liverpool-and-barcelona-in-andrei-ratiu-interest-report) are on Barcelona’s radar.
There’s also speculation that Gerard Martin will be promoted to the senior squad next season, while Jofre Torrents has just signed a new contract and will hope to get some first-team chances.
