Though the Lions lost both of their coordinators this offseason, Dan Campbell has certainly appeared to have LaFleur's number since joining the NFC North.
This will be the first time the Lions and Packers have kicked off the season since 2005, when the Lions defeated the Packers 17-3 in Detroit.
Both teams are coming off playoff appearances in 2024 with the Lions winning the one seed with a 15-2 record and the Packers earning a wildcard berth at 11-6.
The Packers lead the overall series, 106–78–7. The two teams have met twice in the playoffs, with the Packers winning both games.
