Eagles-Chiefs Super Bowl Lix rematch set for early in season

The Philadelphia Eagles will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2 of the 2025 NFL Season on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., according to FOX Sports insider Jordan Schultz. The Super Bowl LIX rematch will kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.

Over the last three years, the Eagles and the Chiefs have been the top two teams in the NFL. They have played each other twice in the Super Bowl during that span. Kansas City beat Philadelphia in Super Bowl LVII, and two years later, the Eagles beat the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.

This will be the fifth straight season the Eagles have faced the Chiefs. The teams already set the record for most consecutive seasons that an NFC and AFC opponent have met when they played each other in last season’s Super Bowl.

The Eagles-Chiefs’ rivalry could become one of the best in NFL history. The Chiefs have won three Super Bowls and lost in two Super Bowls since 2019. With a few more Super Bowl wins, Kansas City would be considered one of the best sports dynasties.

The Eagles have been to three Super Bowls since 2018, winning two of them. Outside of the Chiefs, Philadelphia has been the league’s most dominant organization in the last 10 years. Many people believe the Eagles could be the NFL’s next dynasty.

Nick Sirianni’s team has the best young talent in the NFL and will continue to get better. The Eagles dominated the Chiefs in their Super Bowl LIX victory, winning 40-22. They had a 40-6 lead in the fourth quarter and only gave up two more touchdowns after pulling their starters.
