Howie Roseman Hilariously Compares Eagles To Frank Sinatra

Frank Sinatra may have been from New Jersey, but his iconic "New York, New York" is one of the most famous songs ever created about a singular city. Sinatra may be long gone, but his voice and songs are still reverberated both in the NYC as well as New York Yankee wins.

No city is quite like the one that "never sleeps." Just don't tell that to Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman. Earlier this week, the long-time executive, was honored to accept the MVP — the “Most Valuable Philadelphian” award - for his contributions to the city.

During his acceptance speech, Roseman made a comparison to Sinatra's award-winning song.

With some slight tweaks.

“I would describe it (in the way) Sinatra sang, ‘New York, New York’: You can make it there, you can make it anywhere,” Roseman said. “I’m proud to think that in the sports world, that’s Philly. If you can make it here and have success here, you have an opportunity to go anywhere and have success, because it’s never going to get more demanding — in a positive way — than it is here.”

Roseman has built the Eagles roster that has been to three Super Bowls, two championships, multiple division titles, and an infusion of talent that has made Philadelphia the top team in the league.

His legacy alone is that of a Hall-of-Famer right now...even if he isn't quite done winning games.

And while Sinatra's songs will be immortalized forever, it seems that Roseman's excellence will keep him a Philadelphia legend forever as well.
