The Tennessee Titans have invested heavily in their offensive line over the last several seasons. The franchise used two consecutive first-round picks on guard Peter Skoronski from Northwestern and offensive tackle JC Latham from Alabama to bolster the trenches.
Both of their careers have been a mixed bag so far, however, as Skoronski and Latham have shown glimpses of being great players, but also lacked consistency. Part of the problem is that the Titans' offense has been generally incompetent, plagued mainly by poor quarterback play.
This season should be a different story, however, with new quarterback Cam Ward under center. The rookie should be able to elevate the Titans into being at least a competitive team in his first year.

The young offensive linemen still need to improve themselves, however. Latham needed to lose weight after being around 350 pounds at the end of last season so that he is more agile on the edge against the best pass rushers in the league.
A recent picture surfaced of Latham and it had appeared that he lost substantial weight ahead of the 2025 NFL season. AtoZ Sports' Easton Freeze commented on the photo about his supposed weight loss.
"Combine weight was 342lbs last February," Freeze wrote. "Gonna say he’s in 305 territory in these pics."
Fans reacted to the former first-round pick's sudden transformation and took to social media to let their thoughts be known.
"And his size was supposed to be a big selling point last year lol now it’s a good thing he’s smaller?" questioned another fan.
"Soon as (former Titans left tackle Taylor) Lewan started slimming down, the man couldn’t stay on the field," added one fan.
"That would put home in the bottom 1/3 of the league at RT. My bet is 315 - 320," another chimed in.
"At least 315 imo," one fan wrote. "305 seems a bit too low for a RT but he looks very agile though."
While Latham's true weight will continue to be a mystery unless the Titans update the roster, the young tackle has a chance to silence all his doubters in Week 1. Tennessee will reportedly face the Denver Broncos to begin the year, who boast one of the best defensive lines in the NFL.
Keeping Ward clean will be an uphill battle, but Latham was a first-rounder for a reason.
