The full NFL schedule for the 2025 season will be released Wednesday at 5 p.m.
A few games have already been officially announced, and a few others have been leaked through various media reports, including some involving the Seahawks.
Here is what we know:
A DK Metcalf reunion in Week 2?
One of the more interesting games on the Seahawks’ schedule is a game at Pittsburgh, which will mark a reunion with receiver DK Metcalf, who was traded to the Steelers in March.
It appears that will happen early as a report from 93.7 The Fan radio in Pittsburgh states that the Seahawks and Steelers will meet in Week 2 for Pittsburgh’s home opener on Sept. 14.
A home opener against the 49ers?
Also leaked is what appears to be the Seahawks’ home opener on Sept. 7 at Lumen Field against the San Francisco 49ers. That report came from Dave “Softy’’ Mahler of 93.3 KJR-FM.
It had been assumed the Seahawks would open at home since the Mariners are on the road that weekend at Atlanta.
It would mark the fourth consecutive year the Seahawks have opened at home.
An early Thursday night game at Arizona?
The Seahawks will play one of their prime-time games on the road in Week 4 at Arizona against the Cardinals. That report first came from the website @PHNX_Sports.
That would put the date of the game as Sept. 25.
A preseason reunion with Pete Carroll?
Each team’s three preseason games are also expected to be announced
From the moment Pete Carroll became the coach of the Raiders in January it was worth wondering if the Seahawks and Las Vegas might meet in the preseason. The teams often have, especially in years when they are not scheduled to play in the regular season.
During an appearance Wednesday morning on Seattle Sports 710, Carroll hinted strongly that the Seahawks and Raiders will play each other to open the preseason.
“What a coincidence huh?’’ Carroll said. “How about the opening game of the preseason? … Is that out yet?’’
Carroll did not hint where that game would be. The Seahawks will have two home preseason games and one on the road.
A road game at Vegas would undoubtedly be preferable to cut down on travel for a Seahawks team that is scheduled to fly 31,302 miles during the regular season, third-most of any NFL team behind two other West Coast teams — the LA Chargers at 37,086 and LA Rams at 34,832.
No games on major holidays?
It also appears as if the Seahawks will not play on either Thanksgiving or Christmas as leaks for most of the games on each day have been revealed other than the opponent for Detroit on Thanksgiving Day. That would rule out the Seahawks since do not play at Detroit this year.
It was also officially confirmed on Tuesday that the Seahawks will not play any international games this season. But watch out for 2026. Given the number of international games — there are a record seven this season — They seem destined to play one against soon, having not done so since 2022.
