One of the most anticipated sports movies currently in the process of being made is Amazon MGM's "Madden." Directed by David O. Russell, the film will be about the creation of the popular "Madden" video game franchise.
However, you can't tell the story about John Madden without a healthy dose of Raiders. Former Raiders owner Al Davis is expected to play a large role in the film, as Academy Award-winning actor Christian Bale is playing the maverick, alongside Nicolas Cage's portrayal of Madden.
Production is ramping up for the project, and now we have our first look at Cage as Madden and Bale as Davis.
Cage underwent a slight transformation for Madden, but you can clearly tell that's the actor. However, Bale looks completely unrecognizable.
The actor has done this in the past, but this is one of his most impressive transformations yet. Fans can't believe how similar he looks to the former Raiders owner.
"Lowkey, I’m even more impressed with Christian Bale’s Al Davis here. It’s scary the resemblance," one fan wrote on X.
"Bale can turn into anyone. Wow," another fan wrote.
"Christian Bale as Al Davis is (expletive) insane lmao," a fan wrote.
"Christian Bale as Al Davis is everything I didn’t know I needed," another fan commented.
There's clearly some hype building up around "Madden." The film is going to follow the legendary coach's transition from the NFL to joining up with EA to launch the "Madden" video game franchise that millions of people still play decades later.
