Cowboys Schedule Finishes With NFC East Basement Rival

FRISCO - Are you ready for a Cowboys Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year?

The NFLschedule leaks continue to ooze out in advance of tonight's official full release, and now we have 5 of the Dallas Cowboys games pretty much etched in stone.

The Cowboys 2025 schedule so far ...

In Week 1 it's the entire NFL's season opener as Dallas is at the Philadelphia Eagles.

In Week 2 it's the home opener vs. the New York Giants at AT&T Stadium.

On Thanksgiving Day it's a home game on the holidays as Texas native Patrick Mahomes leads the Kansas City Chiefs into Arlington.

And on Christmas Day it's Dak Prescott's Cowboys playing at the arch-rival Washington Commanders.

Oh, and one more, a holiday hangover as in Week 18, to close the regular-season on Jan. 4, the Cowboys are at the New York Giants. ... the team that traditionally owns the basement in the division.

There's no times for all of these games yet; rumor is that Commanders hosting the Cowboys on Christmas Day will be shown exclusively on Netflix and that it could be placed in the noon CT time slot.

The Cowboys last year finished third in the NFC East at 7-10, and given the fact that the Super Bowl-champion Eagles are in the East, that standings status could be repeated ...

And skeptics exist. Some experts place the projected Cowboys' win total next season at just 7.5.

If all projections in the NFC East are correct, that would mean another third-place finish behind the Eagles with a projected win total of 11.5 and the Commanders, who are projected to win 9.5 games. (The Giants are pegged to win 5 games.)

The official NFL schedule will be announced in full at 7 p.m., but there will be leaks and rumors and oozing throughout the day. ... with CowboysCountry.com poised to keep you posted.
