Liverpool will hope to return to winning ways when they face Brighton and Hove Albion on Monday evening.
The Reds were crowned Premier League champions last month, but have since been beaten by Chelsea and drawn against Arsenal.
Arne Slot will want to see his side improve when they face the Seagulls, before their final match of the campaign against Crystal Palace.
In the meantime, it appears that Liverpool have been handed a blow in their pursuit of a Premier League star.
According to TBR Football, Liverpool’s pursuit of Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen has been hindered by Real Madrid’s interest in the player.
The report claims that both the Reds and Chelsea were interested in the player, but the Spanish giants have been in contact with the Spaniard’s representatives for months.
The pull of Real could therefore hinder Premier League sides as they chase the centre-back, who has been in fine form this term.

Having joined the Cherries from Italian outfit Juventus last year, Huijsen has played 34 times for the south coast club during an impressive debut season in England.
The 20-year-old’s impressive displays have attracted interest from several clubs across Europe, but Real Madrid’s interest in the defender may be bad news for other interested clubs.
Huijsen is contracted to Bournemouth until the end of the 2029/30 campaign having signed a long-term contract with the club when he joined last summer.
The report claims, however, that the Cherries may face a battle to keep hold of the Spain international beyond this summer with several clubs interested in him.
It is claimed that the player’s £50 million release clause can be paid in instalments, which reiterates the idea that Real can afford to sign the defender.
