Jason Kelce Reveals Alarming Injury Struggles as Travis Kelce Teases Brother’s Comeback

Jason Kelce may be enjoying retirement, but his body clearly didn’t get the memo. The former Eagles center, now 37, opened up about his growing list of physical issues during a recent episode of the "New Heights Podcast" with brother Travis Kelce—and the update was far from encouraging.

Once a 295-pound powerhouse on the field, Kelce revealed that he’s slimmed down to around 270 pounds. But beyond the weight loss, it’s the pain that’s been piling up.

When Travis jokingly suggested Jason could make a comeback as a tight end, his response was immediate: “Can’t. No. My ankles and knees and back won’t let me. – It’s getting bad.”

Kelce admits even light workouts are now a challenge

“I’m trying to lift weights, straining muscles. My ankle, playing golf last week, is inflamed. I can’t squat now because my ankle hurts. I can’t bench because I sprained my pecs,” he said. For a player who only missed significant time twice in his entire NFL career, the breakdown feels sudden—and real.

Despite the physical toll, Kelce isn’t slowing down professionally. In addition to co-hosting "New Heights", he recently joined ESPN’s "Monday Night Countdown" alongside Marcus Spears and Ryan Clark. He also launched his own talk show earlier this year, "They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce."

He might be sidelined from football physically, but Jason Kelce’s post-retirement chapter is just getting started. The Eagles legend has already catapulted his career to new levels. Even if the body won’t cooperate, the personality clearly hasn’t lost a step.
